Dose does not seem to be very effective in this recessionary scenario.Regulator (RBI) should take demeanor measures and should be equipped with the ample machinery to avoid unncessary panic among the common man. The government has by way of an interim measure cut prices of petrol and diesel by Rs 5 and Rs2 respectively keeping prices of lpg and kerosene intact.In my view the reduction in prices of petrol and diesel is not adequate as the same is not commensurate with the decline in global crude oil price.

This is not the first time, we have been exposed to such terrorist attacks. The lessons we need to learn have only increased. Appeals have been made to owners of premises to verify the antecedents/background of their prospective tenants before letting out the property. If their greed for money is going to make them compromise on this appeal, the price they have to pay and force their neighbours and all others in that area to pay is really unbearable.

Severance is not only the solution to tackle the economic crisis. Especially every person employed in the international firms are special. Even thier removal from the firm will eventually sum up to the loss of the firm.

But US government is extending a liberal financial bailout which may rescue the group.So it is prudent to wait for some time. The trend of crude prices is showing downward and there is bound to be a corresponding downward revision of prices of aviation fuel also.That should take care of the escalating cost operations to some extent.As in other sectors there should be also an effort to effect savings in all sections of the operations and reduction in number of flights when the occupancy is not to the optimum mark.The raising of fares should be the last choice.

Aviation sector is currently in a financial mess. The aviation turbine fuel prices in India are 60% to 70% higher than in hubs such as singapore and Dubai and this factor is made worse by government taxes. For employers, safety of employees is one of the concerns, if not the highest. If employees don't feel safe, then their productivity dips. And Low productivity isn't good Economics, which every employer intuitively knows about. Since women work in multitude of places ranging from paddy fields, police force to pharma companies, there is no single "magic" balm that can alleviate their pains, and address all their concerns.

To make the working women feel safer at work particularly during night shifts, the shifts must be preferably from 9.00 p.m. to 5.00 a.m. so that the earlier shift people reach home by 10.00 p.m. and the night shift people leave after 5.00 or 5.30 a.m. Also it may be worthwhile to keep atleast some male colleague with such employees for company. If the shift timings are uneven then the employer can better provide transport for safe travel.
